The Incident Reporting Regulations 2008

These Regulations ensure the timely notification to the Bureau of Incidents that have occurred during Licence Holders’ Work-related activities. Such notification will enable the Bureau to plan its activities effectively and to advise Licence Holders on strategies to help prevent operational, health, safety or environmental loss.

The Regulations give direction for the classification, reporting, notification and investigation of Incidents. The nature and type of Incidents to be reported are classified into three main categories, Operational, Health and Safety and Environment.

The Regulations also outline the requirements for the investigation of incidents that occur in the sector.
