Al Mirfa Power Company (AMPC)
|
Al Mirfa Power Company (AMPC) operates three power stations at Al Mirfa, Madinat Zayed and Al Ain with a total licensed capacity of 636 MW. Water production is at the Al Mirfa station only, with a licensed capacity of 38.7 MIGD.

Arabian Power Company (APC)
|
Fourth IWPP in the Emirate, following the purchase of the Umm Al Nar Power Company's assets located at Sass Al Nakheel. Licensed capacities of 2,200 MW and 160 MGD reducing to 1,550 MW and 95 MGD after 2015.

Emirates Aluminum Company Limited PJSC
|
Emirates Aluminium Company Limited PJSC was granted a Self-Supply licence (1 September 2009) for desalination of water (up to 4 MGD) and generation of electricity (up to 2,000
MW) at the EMAL Aluminium Smelter Development, in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The desalinated water and generated electricity shall be used for the EMAL Aluminium Smelter Development. Electricity generation that is in excess of self-supply requirements for the EMAL Aluminium Smelter Development may be offered for sale to ADWEC.

Emirates CMS Power Company (ECPC)
|
Located at the old Taweelah A2 site, the first IWPP in the Emirate and is licensed to produce 50 MGD of water and generate 763 MW of electricity.

Emirates Sembcorp Water and Power Company (ESWPC)
|
ESWPC is Located at Qidfa in Fujairah, one of the Northern Emirates of the UAE. It is licensed for the production of potable water up to a maximum of 100 million imperial gallons per day. The majority of this water is delivered to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi via a transmission pipeline owned and operated by TRANSCO. The company is now also licensed for the generation of electricity of up to 861 MW from 2008 onwards

Fujairah Asia Power Company (FAPC)
|
The second Fujairah licensed operator, situated at the Qidfa complex is a joint venture between International Power and Marubeni. FAPC is licensed to produce up to 2,000 MW of electricity and 130 MGD of desalinated water from thermal (100 MGD) and reverse osmosis (30 MGD) systems.

Gulf Total Tractebel Power Company (GTTPC)
|
Located at the Al Taweelah complex GTTPC was the first IWPP in the Emirate to adopt existing assets (Taweelah A1). Licensed capacities of 84.8 MGD of desalinated water and 1,600 MW of electricity.

Ruwais Power Company
|
Ruwais Power Company was granted a licence (28 August 2009, revised on 8 April 2010) for desalination of up to of 100 MGD of water and generation of up to 1,511
MW of electricity at the Shuweihat 2 facility (S2) in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Shams Power Company PJSC
|
Shams Power Company PJSC is licensed to generate up to 110 megawatts of electricity at the facility known as Shams 1 Solar Power Plant. It is located south of the city of Madinat Zayed in the Al Gharbiya region.

Shuweihat Asia Power Company PJSC (SAPCO)
|
Shuweihat Asia Power Company PJSC was granted a licence (28 April 2011) for the generation of up to 1,600 MW of electricity at the Shuweihat 3 facility (S3). This is the first IPP licence granted in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Power generation is expected to commence in 2014.

Shuweihat CMS International Power Company (SCIPCO)
|
SCIPCO is licensed to produce up to 1,500 MW of electricity and 100 MGD of desalinated water from the Shuweihat S1 Plant, located 260 kms west of Abu Dhabi, near Jebel Dhanna

Taweelah Asia Power Company (TAPCO)
|
Situated at the Al Taweelah Complex. TAPCO owns the old Taweelah B and B2 plants. Licensed to produce 160 MGD of water and 2,000 MW of electricity.

Tourism Development and Investment Company PJSC (TDIC)
|
TDIC is licensed to desalinate water in respect of the temporary facilities located on Saadiyat Island.
This development licence is valid until 31 December 2012. TDIC can produce up to 4,000 m3 [880,000 gallons] per day of potable water and up to 10,000 m3 [2.2 million gallons] per day of non-potable water for the irrigation of the golf course.

Owns the Baniyas power station with a licensed capacity of 120 MW, currently not in production

Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (ADFEC)
|
The Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (ADFEC) is licensed to operate the wind turbine on Sir Bani Yas Island. This is the first Generation Licence of this kind issued by the Bureau and, although for a small capacity (850 kW), it is a sign of things to come for the Emirate; ADFEC being the very first renewable energy producer to be licensed. This licence is effected from 1 June 2008.
The Embedded Generation (Solar) Licence of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC was modified to incorporate the additional Embedded Generation (Solar) installations resulting from the implementation of ADFEC solar rooftop programme.

Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD)
|
Abu Dhabi Judicial Department is licensed to generate power using solar photovoltaic panels mounted on the roof-top of its courthouses on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, Abu Dhabi. The licence, issued on 26 June 2012, is the first of its kind issued by the Bureau.

The Zoo & Aquarium Public Institution
|
The Zoo & Aquarium Public Institution is licensed to generate power using solar PV panels mounted on the roof-top of the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre at the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort. The licence is effective from 1 August 2012.
