The Fuel Storage Tank Regulations (2009)

These Regulations are intended to ensure the prevention and early detection of any fuel release from aboveground fuel storage tanks and to minimize the risk of fuel releases impacting on the environment and on public health.

The Regulations are intended to address existing and potential sources of pollution that may result from aboveground fuel storage tanks. New aboveground fuel storage tanks are required to meet the criteria set forth in these Regulations and existing aboveground fuel storage tanks should be upgraded to comparable standards and conditions within a time schedule approved by the Bureau.
