Recycled Water and Biosolids Regulations 2010
These regulations are required under Article (63) of Law No (2) of 1998, as amended, and establish a framework for the efficient and safe treatment and disposal of recycled water and biosolids. Recycled water and biosolids are the products of wastewater treatment and a valuable source of water, nutrients and energy.
The regulations require sewerage service licensees to develop and implement safety plans and supply agreements to assure the quality and quantity of recycled water or biosolids delivered to end-users at a defined transfer point. The regulations also set out requirements for the monitoring of safety plans by licensees and the enforcement of the regulations by the Bureau.
 
 

Trade Effluent Control Regulations 2010
These regulations are required under Article (63) of Law No (2) of 1998, as amended, and establish a framework for the efficient and safe collection and treatment of trade effluent. Trade effluent is the non domestic wastewater discharged by industrial and commercial premises.
The regulations require sewerage service licensees to consent all trade effluent discharges. The consent will define the permitted composition and quantity of the discharge and the regulations empowered sewerage service licensees enforce compliance with consents through inspection and monitoring activities.
